Students may study Spanish courses as an elective in their degree, complete a major or extended major in Spanish, or continue to postgraduate studies in Spanish.

Spanish majors and extended majors can be undertaken

  • from introductory level (that is no previous knowledge of Spanish), or

  • by continuing students of Spanish (students who have studied Senior Spanish at school),or

  • by students who are native or fluent speakers of Spanish.

Separate course starting points and pathways apply for students in each category.

Students who do not know their starting point (course) and pathway should apply to sit for a placement interview. Placement interviews are held before the beginning of each semester and appointments can be obtained from the school office.
