Asian Studies

Asian Studies courses will offer an integrated study of Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese art, literature and popular culture. They will explore Asia's links with other countries, as well as Asia's cultural heritage, political history, and economic prospects.

The courses in this section are all conducted in English and can be taken:
  • as electives in some language majors and extended majors offered by our  School,
  • in the Asian Studies single major, or
  • as electives in other schools' plans within the Faculty of Arts.
Students who wish to complete the single major in Asian Studies can choose from the History, Politics and Economics Stream, or the Culture Stream.
