The following links have been selected over time for their usefulness to scholars and students. In many cases the links have been identified by students themselves; in others they have been deliberately chosen because of the direct relevance of sites to courses offered by the School.

Students are encouraged to advise the School of any new Internet sites which they find of special relevance to their studies, so that they may also be included in these lists for the benefit of all. To a suggest link contact slccs@uq.edu.au

All UQ students enrolled in French courses are automatically enrolled in the French @ UQ learning community through Blackboard.

This one-stop shop for students learning French @ UQ. will give course information, exchange information, major information, information about French films / events in the area, information about grant schemes from the French Embassy administered by the French program @ UQ, blogs from students who have done exchanges, etc.

It is also a great way to interact with other students of French.

The following 265 links contain significant components of actual French courses, and in some cases whole course. They have been culled from all over the WWW, and there will likely be additions and deletions.

French Grammar Central
With nearly 580 links, this resource is ample material for courses on an advanced college level, and would be particularly good for those studying for exit exams, where a thorough knowledge of structure is required. It contains grammar guidance, with thousands of verb conjugations, research and hundreds of activities.

The library has a broad collection of French newspapers and magazines for you to peruse. There is also a very large collection of French and Francophone movies on VHS and DVD that you can view in the library.
