Information for tutors and prospective tutors

Tutors in the School of Languages and Comparative Cultural Studies are appointed from time to time on a semester-by-semester basis.

Tutors are allocated shared tutor office space in the School, and provided with access to school-controlled seminars and common rooms.

A "mentor" is appointed for each tutor. Usually the course co-ordinator, the mentor will help and assist the tutor with all queries related to teaching the course.
The processing of tutor appointments and all matters relating to payment of salary claims is managed by the Administrative staff in the School office. The finance officer processes all casual salary claims.

For new tutors, a compulsory training session (for which tutors are paid) will be arranged, provided by the Faculty and the School.  See also information for UQ Tutors.

If you would like to be considered for a casual tutor position in the school please send your details to slccs@uq.edu.au
