School of Languages and Comparative Cultural Studies

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

If you want to study a language, there are lots of different opportunities at UQ’s School of Languages and Comparative Cultural Studies (SLCCS).

You can study at beginner or advanced levels and have a choice of 8 different languages. You can choose from:

Whether you are enrolled at UQ, QUT or Griffith University you can still study any of these languages, and also Italian. The Brisbane Universities Languages Alliance (BULA) is a collaboration between the three universities. The alliance allows you to still study the language you want no matter what university you go to.

SLCCS is unique because it also offers a range of courses on cross-cultural understanding, as well as language teaching. Courses are relevant, practical, up-to-date and prepare you for the global workforce.
